How it works

A journey built around the participant.

Zilla Pathways is designed for teenagers and young adults aged roughly 15–25, and every participant starts in a different place. It begins with a free 30–45 minute Meet & Greet — the pace, support and tasks are then adjusted to the individual.

  1. Step 01

    Enquire

A participant, parent, carer or support coordinator contacts Zilla Pathways.

  2. Step 02

    Free Meet & Greet

Come in for a free 30–45 minute introductory session. Meet the team. See the environment. Try some practical activities. Ask questions. Most importantly, see how the participant feels in the environment.

  3. Step 03

    Are We a Good Fit?

We talk with the participant, family and support team about their interests, goals and support needs. There is no obligation to continue. If Zilla Pathways isn't the right environment for someone, that's okay.

  4. Step 04

    Build a Pathway

If it's a good fit, we develop an appropriate starting approach around the participant's individual goals, abilities and interests.

  5. Step 05

    Learn by Doing

Participants begin practical supported sessions focusing on real workplace and life skills.

  6. Step 06

    Build Confidence & Independence

As skills develop, participants can gradually take on more responsibility and discover areas where they perform well.

  7. Step 07

    The Next Step

Where appropriate, the longer-term goal may include greater independence, further training or increased readiness to explore mainstream employment opportunities.

Progress looks different for everyone.

Some participants move quickly through unfamiliar tasks; others need many repetitions before something feels routine. Both are valid forms of progress. Zilla Pathways does not guarantee employment or any particular outcome — what we offer is a genuine environment, consistent support and the opportunity for a young person to demonstrate what they can do.

NDIS information

Free 30–45 minute Meet & Greet

Come in. Meet us. Give it a go.

Before enrolling, every prospective participant can attend a free 30–45 minute meet-and-greet — with a parent, carer or support person if they'd like one there.

It's a relaxed, no-pressure visit: see the environment, meet the team, ask questions and talk about interests and goals. It also helps us understand support needs, so we can work out together whether Zilla Pathways feels like the right fit.

  • See the environment
  • Meet the team
  • Ask questions
  • Talk about interests and goals
  • Experience the setting without pressure
  • Decide whether it feels right for them

No obligation. No NDIS funding required for the introductory session.
